If you ask question which knot type that most favorite for fly fishing, you may have blood knot as the answer. This type of knots commonly used to join similar size of two lines. This is one of the best knots type to join leader or tippet. The strength of blood knot depends on how many turns we made on each side of the center. It's the best to make at least five turn or up to seven turn to get strength blood knot.

Tying Blood Knot


The blood knot is one kind of knots type that simple, easy to learn and practice as tying surgeon knots. But, if surgeon knot used to join lines that moderately have different size, blood knot very effective and useful to join two similar sized lines.
